Inspection flight
President Nixon took a 45minute helicopter flight over a proposed 23,000-acre bistate park at the mouth of New York Harbour today, to dramatise his programme for converting unused Federal land into wildlife and recreation reserves. While Mr Nixon was flying from Washington to Newark on his scenic tour legislation was simultaneously introduced in Congress to make the areas the New York Gateway Park. —Newark, May 11.
