BLUE TRAIN ENGINES
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 20. . Four DJ train engines used on the “Southerner” run would be painted blue, said the Minister of Railways (Mr Gordon) today. Red engines had been used so far as this was believed to be -the best colour in the interest of road safety, but at times red engines were difficult to distinguish against the railway cuttings and embankments.
