(N Z Preu Assn — Copyright) CANBERRA.

A former Australian Rules footballer has claimed $20,000 in the Supreme Court at Canberra, for alleged assault and trespass by an opposing player during a football game.

Demien McNamara, who was playing for a local university side, claims he was badly injured when Roger Duncan, of the Eastlake team, struck him on the side of the head during a match in September, 1969. The hearing was adjourned.
