GIRL’S CAR FOUND

Police have found the cat driven by Karen Joan Easterbrook, aged 19, who has been missing from her home in Quinns Road, Shirley, since Saturday. The car had been parked in the main street of Kaikoura for three days, but there was no trace of Miss Easterbrook. She is believed to be with another person.

The search last evening switched back to Christchurch after a truck-driver reported having given the girl and a companion a ride back from Kaikoura.

Her mother, Mrs G. Easterbrook, said she was “most anxious” to speak to her daughter. “I just want her to telephone,” she said.
