The average price paid for wool between the Christchurch sales in January and February dropped almost 1c per lb. The average for the February sale was 24.8136 c per lb, the January average 25.7145 c. The February average was also more than 1.5 c per lb below that for the same sale a year ago. The average price a bale last month was $85.84, compared with $87.38 in January and $93.78 in February last year. Last month 9,713,8821 b of wool in 28,081 bales was sold for $2,410,362.15.
