Sir,—By pressing the Government to close the South African Consulate, the New Zealand Race Relations Council is merely confirming the viewpoint held by many non-aligned political analysts and free-thinkers that in the confused complexity of political philosophies and philosophical politics there is an extremist lunatic "Left” just as there is an extremist lunatic “Right.” When united in a group, the predominance of the lunatic fringe can be easily identified by the weapons employed as a pressure group. The favourite weapons used art those of intimidation, self-righteousness, connivance, self-assumed authority, arrant hypocrisy, an utter disregard for the rights o$; others, and the suppres-

God forbid that New Zealand, as demanded by the Race Relations Council, ever boost the evil Leftist brigade by contributing to its wicked scheme of isolating a great, anti-Communist nation.
