Mr Alan F. Ross, of Christchurch, who has been awarded the 1971 Wool Research Organisation bursary for undergraduate study at the University of New South Wales.

A student of both Aranui High Schoo] and Shirley

Boys’ High School, Mr Ross gained an A bursary in 1969.

He spent last year under the Volunteer Service Abroad Scheme teaching at the Central Fijian secondary school, Nausori.

Mr Ross will leave Christchurch this week for Sydney to begin a course for the bachelor of science degree at the i School of Textile Science.
