Scheherazade wins again

WELLINGTON

P. Williams and D. Oliver, of Wellington, sailed Scheherazade into first place for the third consecutive time and are now virtually assured of regaining the Sanders Cup.

Scheherazade won in Ihr 7min 16sec from Audacity (R. Shearer, B. Bulger, Otago), which recorded Ihr Ilmin 23 sec. Jim Beam (B. Bilger, M. Ross, Auckland) did not finish, and afterwards withdrew from the contest.

After four races, the provisional points are: Wellington 3, Otago 17.4, Auckland 17.7.
