Aranui Centre finance

The sum of $6OOO a year for the next three years will be placed on the City Council estimates to cover the council’s likely financial contribution for the proposed Aranui-Wainoni community centre.

The council decided that funding for the community centre would be carried out subject to it receiving- evidence that the AranuiWainqni advance committee’s fund-raising activities were successful and would match the council’s provision each year.

The council’s by-laws and finance committee recommended that the $6OOO on the 1970-71 estimates for extensions to the Aranui Hall should be used for that purpose, and that the work should be put in hand as soon as possible. The council adopted the recommendations.
