Mr E. J. S. Kjaer, the ViceConsul for Denmark in Auckland has been appointed the honorary consul in Auckland, succeeding Mr L. J. Stevens, who recently retired from the. post, -the Royal Danish Embassy announced in Wellington yesterday.— (P.A)
Dr W. R. Holmes has been appointed by the Waimairi County Council to fill the vacancy on the Riccarton Bush Trustees caused by the death of Mr R. C. Rhodes.
