Quax takes mile race

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LOUISVILLE. The New Zealander, R. Quax, won the mile event in the eleventh MasonDixon Games last night. He took the event in 4min 4.9 sec. The previous day, Quax was fifth in the mile in the “Los Angeles Tinies” indoor games. He ran the distance in 4min o.7sec. The race ended in a dead-heat between H. Szordykowski (Poland) and J. Mason (United States), in 3min 58.9 sec.
