Loans to buy aircraft

The United States ExportImport Bank has announced loans totalling $75.5m to Air New Zealand to go towards the purchase of three DCIO-30 jet aircraft. The bank will put up $25.2m, McDonnell Douglas and General Electric will lend $20.5m, and a syndicate of United States commercial banks will contribute $29.8m The airline will make a cash payment of $16.6m to make up the balance of the $92.1m needed for the three aircraft. The aircraft would be delivered in January and September, 1973, and in April, 1974, the announcement said.
