Mr N. J. R. Meldrum, the New York representative of the Bank of New South Wales, will become the chief manager of the bank for New Zealand on January 5, the bank announced today.

Mr H. Donald, a 22-year-old Hawke’s Bay farmer, has been awarded the 1971 Bank of New South Wales travel bursary. The bursary enables an outstanding member of the New Zealand Young Farmers’ movement to visit Australia to study farming methods and techniques. Mr Donald, who gained his diploma of agriculture at Lincoln College, is secretary of the Takapuna Young Farmers’ Club and a member of the Feilding district committee. He farms on his father’s 560iacre farm.
