Rose Bowl to E. Warren
The Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s Rose Bowl tournament was completed at the Richmond green on Saturday morning. Results were:—Semi-finals: E. Warren (Barrington) 26, M. Grimwood (St Albans) 10; D. Beaumont (Redcliffs) 19, L. Carson (Woolston) 10. Final: Warren 18, Beaumont 15.
Soccer.—Britain’s soccer stars are to be honoured in a hall of fame, which is being established in London at a coat of £150,000. No player will be elected until three years after his retirement from the professional game.
