FISHING IN NELSON

Open-season extended i (N.Z. Press Association) j WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. Fishing in Lake Rotoiti and Lake Rotoroa, in the Nelson aclimatisation district, comes under an open-season extension from November 1 to July 31. Special conditions, under the Fisheries Experimental Waters (Lakes Rotoiti and Rotoroa) Regulations, have been Gazetted to allow this. The Minister of Marine (Mr McCready) said in a statement today that the conditions required anglers to submit angling-diaries covering fishing done in the lakes; any fish-tags taken must be returned to the Nelson Acclimatisation Society. The regulations will remain; in force for five years.
