Direction to clubs

Trotting clubs will be directed to ensure that all horses travel In the same direction while doing their race preliminaries. This was decided al a meeting of the executive of the Trotting Conference held yesterday in Christchurch. This had been decided in view of the recent accident in training at Washdyke, said the president (Mr R. J. Wolfe, of Thames). “Too often we see horses travelling in opposite directions in their preliminaries and we must do everything possible to reduce the chances of any accident,” he said.
