Japan beats Soviet Union
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LJUBLJANA (Jugoslavia). Japan won the team gold medal in the men’s combined exercises in the world gymnastics championships. Japan, won the title with 571.10 points, with the Soviet Union (564.35) second, and East Germany (553.15) third. Japan also scored a clean sweep in the individual event. E. Kenmotsu won the gold medal with 115.05 points, from I. Tsukahara (113.85), and A. Nakayama (113.80)
