RECORD-BREAKER.—D. Wylie (Christchurch) easing off after his second ride through the flying half-mile on the South Eyre Road on Saturday morning. Wylie, who rode a 500c.c. Japanese Suzuki, recorded an average speed of 153.573 miles an hour for his two-way run to break the New Zealand 500c.c. record by more than nine miles an hour.
