Puerto Rico flooded
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SAN JUAN (Puerto Rico). October 11. A week of torrential rains in Puerto Rico eased to showers today, leaving about 50 persons dead or missing and a trail of havoc across the tropical island. Civil defence workers said that more than 10,500 persons had been moved from their homes since the rains began last Sunday, causing the worst flooding in 10 years. Damage is estimated at s44m.
