Ahjay racing again today
(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE. The New Zealand horse Ahjay, which thrives on hard racing, will be saddled up for the fourth successive Saturday today. Ahjay will run in the John F. Feehan Handicap (Im) on the tight Moonee Valley course. Ahjay’s Matamata owner' trainer, H. Tapper, said yesterday the horse would probably run in the Invitation Stakes at Caulfield next Thursday as well. He is still keen to get him to Sydney for the Epsom on October 3. Ahjay won his first two Australian starts easily and was an unlucky fourth in the Craiglee Stakes at Flemington last week. Bompa will clash with Ahjay in the Feehan for the third successive Saturday. Bompa was off colour in the Memsie Stakes, won by Ahjay, but turned the tables in the Craiglee running second to Gay Poss and heading Ahjay.
