Stormy Seas’ programme

"The Press’’ Special Service INVERCARGILL.

Stormy Seas, which had his winning sequence broken when Susan Jane beat him in the John Grigg Stakes at Ashburton last Saturday, will make his next appearance against the open sprinters at the Southland spring meeting next week. He will then race in the Dunedin Guineas a week later.

“A check at a critical stage of the running might have made all the difference between him winning and losing the John Grigg Stakes and as it was he did particularly well to get within half a length of Susan Jane,” R. F. Pankhurst. the trainer of Stormy Seas, said this week. “I was very pleased with his showing and over more ground he will be even more difficult to beat.”
