Injuries From Accidents

Four persons were taken to the Timaru Hospital after two vehicles were involved in a collision at the Orton intersection. Clandeboye, on Sunday. The driver of one car. Mark Higham, aged 48, of Papanui. suffered concussion and lacerations. His wife, Mary Higham, aged 51, suffered! shock, as did the driver of the other car, Mrs Margaret Anne Wallace, aged 40. of 1 Rangitata Island. Her daughter, Jennifer, aged 18, suffered concussion and lacerations.

The Timaru Hospital authorities yesterday described their condition as satisfactory. Two women suffered minor injuries in a road accident at Temuka the same evening. The driver of one car was Miss A. Beckingsale, of 79 Avenue Road, Timaru; the other driver was Mrs J. M. Smith, of 21 Lyall Terrace, Temuka. The accident,' in which Miss Beckingsale’s vehicle was damaged severely, occurred in King Street.
