TOUR MATCH CANCELLED
IN.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY.
The first game of the New Zealand Combined Services Rugby team’s tour of Australia was cancelled yesterday by torrential rain. The park set down for the fixture against New South Wales Police was awash and unplayable.
A police spokesman said it was not possible to reschedule the match because of the New Zealanders’ travelling arragnements and playing itinerary. The tourists will meet Australian Services in Canberra on Sunday.
