AIRLINE GOLFERS

Two Christchurch players, J. L. Blair and B. E. Quinn, will represent N.A.C. at the fifth world air-lines golf championship to be held this year over two 18-hole courses in Puerto Rico, on September 28, 29 and 30. The tournament, sponsored by an American magazine, “Air Transport World,” attracted entries from 45 airlines when staged in Melbourne last year. All air-lines can send two representatives to contest the four-ball bestball stroke match. Blair a former South Island and Canterbury champion and Quinn are both on singlefigure handicaps, but this is only an average mark in a high-class field.
