Review In U.S.

(N.Z.P.A-.Reuter—Copyright) SAN CLEMENTE (California), Sept 1. President Nixon today called in his top foreign policy advisers—first to review developments since the Middle East cease-fire and then to hear a report by Vice-Presi-dent Spiro Agnew on his South-East Asian tour. The review of the world’s two major trouble spots took place against a background of faint Administration optimism about the Middle East and satisfaction with the results of Mr Agnew’s tour. Major topics for the Middle East review were expected to be the first tentative ArabIsraeli steps towards negotiations, and the alleged violations of the United States-in-itiated cease-fire which has been in existence for three weeks.
