Youth Put On Probation

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 25. A 17-year-old unemployed cleaner was put on probation for 12 months and was ordered to pay $2O restitution by Mr M. B. Scully, S.M., in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court yesterday for painting a swastika and the letters “SS” on the door of a Government office on August 16. Andrew James Kay, of Auckland, had pleaded guilty to wilfully damaging a door in Taranaki Street. He appeared in court yesterday on remand from an earlier hearing.
