Burnett’s Profit Almost Doubles
A tax-paid profit of *248,818 has been announced by the directors of Burnett Holdings, Ltd, in Ashburton. This compares with $128,707 last year, The profit this year includes $169,552 received from the sale of the company’s interest in the Manapourl joint venture. The directors will recommend at the annual meeting of shareholders to be held on October 8, a dividend of 9 per cent (last year 8 per cent), plus a bonus dividend of 3 per cent—to mark the tenth year of trading as a public company.
