Soviet Writer Punished
(N.Z. Prezi Attn. —Copyright) MOSCOW, August 24. The writer, Alexander Ginsburg, has been moved to one of the Soviet Union’s most notorious “hard-regime” prisons.
Russian informants said today that Ginsburg' was transferred earlier this month from the Potma labour camp 300 miles south of Moscow, to the maximum security Vladimir prison 110 miles north-east of the city; A television programme about Soviet dissidents shown in the United States last month included a tape-record-ing said to have been made in the camp by Ginsburg. It is thought that he has been i transferred to Vladimir as a punishment for the recording.
