Timaru Competitions Festival Results

(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU. The under-10 South Canterbury sailor’s hornpipe championship was decided at the Timaru Competitions Society’s annual festival on Monday. The wiiuier, Jillian Sharman, of Invercargill, who gained 66 points, was commended for her good sense of rhythm, and smart, neat work. Diane Hardie, of Timaru (65), was second, and Ainslie Cross, an Oamaru competitor (64), was third. Phillipa Reid (Timaru) was very highly commended.

Classes are being held at the Scottish and New Century Halls, and the competitions ; will end with a demonstration concert on Thursday ! afternoon. Judges.—Fancy and tap dancing: Mrs M.
