Cantarbury teams lead seclion A and share the lead In sectian B after the first day of the Naw Zealand secondary schools' soccer tournament at Hlllmorton yesterday.

Hlllmorton High School end Christchurch Boys’ High School, with two victories each, have a one-point lead over Auckland Grammar, which was held to a 0-0 draw by Gisborne Boys' High School In one of the most tightly-contested matches of the day. Mount Albert and Shirley Boys’ High School each has four points in section B, and Linwood High School won the only match it played yesterday. Results and points:— Section A. ton) gave an impressive display of passing among Its forwards to beat Waitaki Boys’ High School, 5-1. Linwood High School scored a convincing, 5-0, win over Marlborough Boys’ College.

Wanganui Collegiate and Christ’s College played to an exciting, 3-all, draw, and Shirley Boys’ High School fought back to win, 3-2, in the last 10 minutes after being down, 0-2, in the first 10 minutes against Papanul High School.
