RUGBY TEST I was surprised to read “Sports Fan’s” complaint against the N.Z.B.C. announcer’s comments after the Sunday showing of the second Rugby test. From pictures and reports it was obvious that what was said by the announcer was correct. Perhaps “Sports Fan” should comment on the advisability of the Prime Minister’s telegram after the “bloodbath.” —M. O’NEILL.
David Tennant has expressed the opinions of many people. No doubt he took the law into his own hands, but he is in good company and our mayor should support his action. As a Kiwi and a onetime Rugby player, the present series of “fights” leaves me disgusted. BECKENHAM. Answers to Correspondents Damian Finn and Rosalie O’Sullivan: Too long (see rules).
