Drugs For Island
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 18. Urgently needed drugs and medical supplies for influenza, stricken Rarotonga left early this morning by R.N.Z.A.F. Hercules after being delayed for 24 hours because of flooding on the Cook Islands’ airstrips. The 82001 b consignment comes after an emergency 2501 b airdrop of antibiotics by a R.N.Z.A.F. Orion on Friday. At least seven people have died in the epidemic.
