Pop Concert Marred

(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter— CopyrioM) LONDON, July 19. A girl stripped naked, a youth was drowned, two French holidaymakers were badly burned, and several young people received hospital treatment after bad drug “trips” at yesterday’s open-air pop concert in Hyde Park, London, attended by 30,000 enthusiasts. The French tourists. Miss Catherine Bleriot and Mr Max Marau, were among five people taken to hospital after a hamburger stall burst into flames during the concert

A spokesman for St George’s Hospital said early today that Miss Bleriot was suffering from serious facial and hand burns. She was seriously ill, but in no danger. Mr Marau received slight bums.

An English youth was drowned in the Serpentine shortly after the concert ended. He was one of five youths who had set out to swim across the lake.
