K.D.V. Finds In Favour Of Bid
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 17. Mainly because of the longterm aspects, the directors of K.D.V. Industries, Ltd, Auckland, today recommended acceptance of the take-over bid by Taupo Totara Timber Company, Ltd. The terms, of two Taupo Totara shares plus 10c cash for each K.D.V. share—a total value of just more than 300 c were realistic, they sai<L/ K.D.V. directors believed that the combined strength of the two companies would be greater than the sum of the two separately, K.D.V.’s timber merchandising activities in Auckland and Whijngarei would dovetail well/with Taupo Totara’s milling and merchandising operations, and other manu facturing activities should also combine profitably, they added.
