ASSEMBLY ILLEGAL

(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) BLOEMFONTEIN. A South African Rugby official said that the “illegal” assembling of the Springbok first test team next Tuesday was an oversight If there was any protest from the All Blacks, South Africa would willingly disperse all players after the trials in Pretoria on Tuesday and reassemble its test team on Thursday. The South African Rugby Board has organised trials in Pretoria on Tuesdayand plans to keep its first team there. Rugby rules state no hotlie test team can be assembled until 48 hours before the match.

It is considered unlikely that the All Blacks will make a protest.
