Ling Resigns
Mr James Ling has resigned as president of Ling-Temco-Vought Inc., and has been replaced by Mr Paul Thayer in a major revision of executives in the giant conglomerate. Mr Ling, founder of the firm in 1961, said he would no longer participate actively in company business. He was elected in June as a director of Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp., a subsidiary of LTV.
