Mr P. D. Rutledge, engineer to the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board, will leave on August 1 for a study trip to Australia, and is due back on September 8. Mr Rutledge will attend a university seminar in Sydney, and will meet power supply men in three states. The Rev. W. J. Schrader, chaplain to St Andrew’s College, Christchurch, for the last seven years, has accepted a call from the Wadestown parish in the Presbytery of Wellington. Mr Schrader; who accepted the call at the monthly meeting of Jie Christchurch Presbytery last evening, will be inducted into his new position In October. Mr C. A. Blazey, senior assistant manager of the A.M.P. Society in New Zealand since 1969 has retired after 43 year’s service. He began his career in Christchurch in 1927 and was transferred to Wellington in 1936. Mr Blazey is an executive member of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union arid chairman of the Amateur Athletic Association. Messrs G. R. Bedford, M. G. Begg, J. Dysart, D. J. Gilmour. D. S. Dunn, W. D. Henderson, W. K. Jenkins, M. J. Walker and M. R. Wilson, have been appointed members of the Kirwee Domain Board. Mr J. A. C. Bain has been appointed a trustee of the Timaru racecourse. He replaces Mr J G. Fairbrother, who has resigned.
