Positive Swab
k swab taken from Sam Carter after he won the New Zealand Sapling Stakes at Ashburton on May 30 has returned a positive This was announced yesterday by the secretary of the Trotting Conference (Mr J. Rowley). Sam Carter, a gelding by Morano from Siren, Is trained at Templeton by J. W. Smolensk! for Messrs B. J. and K. J. Morris, of Christchurch. It is unlikely any charges .resulting from the positive swab will be heard for some weeks.
