NEW COURT BUILDINGS
i Council Will : See Drawings <Trom Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, June 4. Perspective drawings for the new Christchurch court! buildings are ready, and the Minister of Justice (Mr Riddiford), will meet the Mayor (Mr A. R. Guthrey), on Friday to show the scheme to members of the Christchurch City Council. Mr Riddiford said today that the plans provided for the eventual replacement of all court buildings in Christchurch, but in the first stage, working drawings would be completed for the Supreme' Court, law library and admin-1 istration offices. Intricate functional require-! ments were included in the plan, said Mr Riddiford, and! he considered that the Ministry of Works architects had coped with them most competently. Some more drawings were still to be done before ten- i ders could be called, and these drawings would be com-1 pleted after the architects I had had an opportunity to! consider any comments or criticisms of the scheme. ,
