During the next few weeks 1 notices of selection for jury - service would be sent to many thousands of persons , throughout the country, the f Minister of Justice (Mr Riddis ford) said last week. > The Juries Act requires a s new jury roll to be compiled in the year after each General Election and provides that every person aged between 21 and 65 is liable to serve as a juror.

The selection of the jury roll is done by ballot from electoral rolls, but is restricted to electors living within 15 miles of the nearest Supreme Court.
