Creditors’ Meetings

Unecpnomic tharges for collecting rubbish and repairs to plant and a truck were the reasons Percy Harold Birchfield, aged 53, a driver, of Grahams Road, gave for his bankruptcy at a meeting of creditors yesterday. Loss of income through illness and poor budgeting were the reasons Frederick Percy Farrant, aged 25, a timber worker of Mathesons Road gave for his bankruptcy, at a meeting before the Deptuy Official Assignee (Mr L. of creditors on Wednesday. Farrant disclosed debts of $374 and no assets. Creditors asked Mr Anderson to note that they would oppose any application for discharge from bankruptcy until Farrant had paid 50c in the dollar. The meeting also instructed Mr Anderson to sell any available assets. '
