Replying to Mr J. Mathison (Lab., Avon) Mr Rae agreed! that the commission as originally announced was made up entirely of North Islanders, and that it would be de-i sirahle to include a South! Islander. Mr Rae did not! name the additional appointee. In reply to a further question, he agreed that it might he desirable to include a nonEuropean on the commission, but he thought six members was enough.
