Presbyterian Induction

The Rev. A. R. Scott, who has been minister of the Presbyterian parish of Herbert-Kakanui-Hampden in the Presbytery of Otago for the last four years, was inducted as minister of St James’s parish, Spreydon, at a service at the church last evening. The induction was performed by the actingModerator of the Christchurch Presbytery (Mr G. W. Wallis) and the sermon was preached by the minister of the Christchurch North parish (the Rev. W. J. Keir). The charge was delivered by the editor of the Presbyterian magazine “Outlook” (the Rev. C. L. Gosling). Before going to Oamaru Mr Scott served for 12 years in. Invercargill. He also started; the parish of St Luke’s in i Waiwhetu in the Hutt Valley. I
