FLAGSHIP OF A TANKER FLEET.—The BP Tanker Company’s 215,000-ton tanker British Explorer on trials off the coast of Japan. The tanker was built in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and has an over-all length of 1068ft. She will have a crew of 39, each man having his own fully-furnished and air-conditioned cabin fitted with a shower and toilet.
