Students’ Gifts
Many university students had given gifts of clothing to the Red Cross Society recently, Mr R. J. Lipscombe, secretary of the North Canterbury Centre said yesterday. “I am most impressed with the standard and condition of clothing we have received,” Mr Lipscombe said. “The clothes, often including a gaily coloured shirt or two, are washed and pressed, which is more than I can say for some of the clothes sent in to us. I think that most of the clothing is from students finishing degrees.”
