Lectures On Italy Italian history and literature will be discussed in 10 public lectures, “The Italian Contribution to European Civilisation,” arranged by the Canterbury Workers’ Educational Association. Speakers from several departments of the University of Canterbury will talk on the Roman era, the Renaissance, and Italy in more modern times. The lectures will begin on June 2. Two lectures on Italian music will be illustrated by the University Singers, conducted by Mr J. Cousins. The lecturers will be Professor D. A. Kidd, Mrs I. Matson, Mr C. E. Manning, Mr G. Maslakov, Professor H. J. Hopkins, Mr D. F. Sell, Mr A. K. Lojkine, and Professor H. J. Simpson.
