Charge For Soft Drinks
Sir, —I also attended Aubrey’s the same Saturday night as your correspondent, “Robbed,” and confirm that the facts outlined in his letter were correct. I should like Mr Spitz to specifically point out where lie the discrepancies that he referred to in his reply.—Yours, etc., ALSO ROBBED. May 17, 1970.
[Mr T. A. Spitz, South Island manager for Prestige Promotions, Ltd, replies: “It is indeed gratifying to see two of the many patrons who attended Aubrey’s Nitespot, on the night in question, tqke the time to put pen to paper. It is, though, a little sad that they see fit to remain anonymous. If the ‘lnnocent Teenager’ and fellow-campaigner, ‘Also Robbed,’ would like to make themselves known to me, in the same good faith as I am openly taking the time
to reply to their mutual concern, I will gladly offer them enlightenment. It would also be interesting to know the identity of the complainants as someone spilt coke on the carpet, which had to be shampooed, burnt a table top with a cigarette, and stole an ashtray. A bent spoon was also found. A possible ‘vendetta’ is worth consideration.”]
