WELLINGTON, May JB.

Objections to proposed exemptions from import licensing were processed as quickly as possible, the Minister of Customs (Mr AdamsSchneider) said today.

Mr Adams-Schneider has received complaints about the time taken to decide on objections. He said today that all 125 firm objections lodged before last October had been dealt with. Several applications for protection regarding exemption propdsals gazetted in October were received in Januarly, he said. Those which had not yet been considered were being processed as quickly as possible.
