Exploration Manager

A New Zealand-born and educated petroleum exploration geologist, who has gained a wide experience in North America in the last 15 years, will return to New Zealand on Monday to take up the position of exploration manager of the New Zealand Petroleum Company. Ltd, in Wellington. He is Mr G. M. Smart, aged 40. who has been on the oil exploration staff of the Shell organisation in Canada. He graduated M.Sc. with honours in geology from the j University of Canterbury in 11954 and joined Shell, Canada, the next year.
