His over-all time for the 106.4 miles was Ihr Imin 42.3sec—an average of 101.119 m.p.h. Second in the over-all placings was H. Ganley (New Zealand), also in a McLaren in 1:02.26, and third M. Hailwood (Britain) in a Lola Pl9O, in 1:02:28.5. G. Mcßae (New Zealand, McLaren) was second in the first leg of the race.
